Renovation Planning Checklist
Find Your Style
Search the internet and websites such as Houzz and Pinterest to select images that reflect your design style. Example: Type in Kitchen Images showing Blue Cabinets
Choose some of your favorite color and finish options for your cabinetry.
Save your favorite door styles & finishes along with storage solutions and embellishments (glass cabinetry, wood hoods, island leg posts, etc.)
Design Your Room!
Decide if your kitchen shape is changing (this is a renovation!) or staying within the same footprint.
Meet with your kitchen designer to begin working on options and layouts. This meeting should be at your home so that the designer can see your space and take accurate measurements.
Consider your other design options: flooring, countertop, backsplash, lighting, faucets, appliances, wall color and hardware. Both your designer and contractor should guide you.
